Need additional academic support? Here are some helpful FREE on campus supports to help you with your academic challenges.

Writing Resource Centre:
*To BOOK appointments call (902) 457-6567 or visit EVAR 218
*Your appointments will be HELD in – EMF 127-F (basement of Library)
*Check the website out for information on group workshops, handouts, and helpful links

Supplemental Instruction Program (SI):
*Check with professors or website for dates, times and locations
*Weekly group sessions to improve academic performance
*See the website for the various courses that offer SI sessions (these are usually posted a few weeks after classees begin)

Study Skills Workshops:
*Check website, call 457-6567, or visit EVAR 218 for dates, times, and locations
*Group workshops and helpful tips/information on website
*Various topics offered: time management, note taking, exam preparation, exam anxiety, writing a university paper, etc.

Learning Strategist (for all students):
*To book appointments call 457-6567 or visit EVAR 218
*One-on-one appointments are in EMF (library) 127F with Elaine Johnson
*Time management and study skills support

Library: (then go to Library Services, then Instruction & Tours)
*Drop-by EMF (library), call 457-6250, or email for dates and times
*Group tours
*One-on-one tours
*Novanet demonstration and how to find/use various materials found at Library
*Ipads and laptops for temporary loan within Library
*Can set you up with citation programs such as RefWorks
