Your Union

Your students’ union is an elected and hired organization of students and staff that work both for, and with, the students of the Mount to provide our community quality campus life, services, advocacy, opportunities and governance.

The elected members consist of 4 Executive positions and 12 Council Rep. positions. Elections are held each spring at which point Executive and Council positions are open for students to run for office for the following Academic year. The Students’ Union also employs a number of student managers and over 50 part-time student staff each academic year. Additionally the Students‟ Union also provides a range of opportunities to more than 100 student volunteers, offering a unique and enriching learning experience.

The Students’ Union provides funding to over 40 student clubs & societies each year, and provides space for society meetings and events. The Students‟ Union also works hard to bring the student body and community of the Mount a variety of student life activities and events, guest speakers on topics important to today’s students and a very wide array of opportunities for students to become more involved in their university experience.

Remember: You don‟t have to be political or into politics to be part of your Students‟ Union. You just have to want to be involved!
