There are many opportunities for students to work on and off campus during your time attending MSVU. On campus employment is available through both the Students’ Union and various university departments.
Student employment can also be found through using the services available through the Career Planning Services and at the Jobs 4 Students Expo organized by the Students’ Union.

Students’ Union Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager
Winter Term – January to April 2012
What is the Role of the Creative Marketing and Promotions Manager
The Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager is a hired student member of the management team of the Students’ Union. The Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager is responsible for the promotion and marketing of the Students’ Union and it’s services throughout the entire Mount campus including residences.
The Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager will be responsible for:
• The marketing & promotion of services, events, important dates, programming, and announcements of all Students’ Union areas including:
- Vinnie’s Pub & Lounge
- Crows Nest Café & Computer Lounge
- Information Services
- The Fountain Playcentre
- The MSVUSU Diversity Centre
- The MSVUSU Food Bank
- Student Life Events
- Union Information Fairs
- Union Town Halls
- SRC Meetings
- Elections
• The Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager will work with the Students’ Union to create dynamic materials such as posters, brochures and banners.
• The Creative Marketing & Promotions Manager will work with such media outlets as the MSVUSU website mountstudents.ca, posters, plasma screens, calendars, brochures, advertisements for retail operations, announcements and press releases.
Requirements/Qualifications
Good written and oral communication skills. Graphic design skills, desktop publishing, and printing preparation experience an asset. The ability to work with a variety of people and situations. An understanding of union policies and the role of the union within the context of the university. The ability to articulate the mission of the union to many constituencies.
Must be a Mount student enrolled in at least one course per academic term with a GPA no less than 2.0.

The Students’ Union also provides employment in such areas as the Students’ Representative Council, Elections and Special Events. All general staff applicants must be a registered full-time student of MSVU with a current GPA of no less than 1.7
