Shinerama

Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser involving more than 60 university and college campuses across Canada. While Shinerama began in 1964 as a shoe-shining campaign during Orientation week, it has since grown to include a wide variety of shining and non-shining activities under the Shinerama banner.

The Mount Students’ Union has proudly been involved with Shinerama for more than 20 years and continues to raise the bar each year. All proceeds from Shinerama go to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada which is a non-profit organization which funds research towards the goal of finding a cure for or control of Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common, fatal, genetic disease affecting young Canadians. It is a multi-organ disease mainly affecting the lungs and the digestive system. This summer the Mount Students’ Union will be busy with a variety of fundraising events to make this our biggest Shinerama summer ever!

Join our Shinerama Campaign

Click HERE to join our online  Mount Shinerama team and ask your friends and family to donate to Shinerama. It is very easy to sign up!

STEP 1
Once you have entered the shinerama.ca webpage (by clicking on HERE above), click on the yellow “donate” button at the top.Â

STEP 2
Then click the REGISTER NOW button under register/search for school.

STEP 3
Click the “Mount Saint Vincent University” choice in the school list and click next.

STEP 4
In the next window click “Join a Team” and type MSVU in the search field. Then choose MSVU as the team ans click next.

STEP 5
Now continue to enter your information and click next and follow the remaining instruction.
