AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia
The AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia supports and empowers people living with and effected by HIV/AIDS and works to end stigma and discrimination as well as reduce new cases of HIV.
The Avalon Sexual Assault Centre
Working to eliminate sexual assault/abuse and change our societies current culture which cultivates sexism, social injustice and other forms of oppression, the Avalon Sexual Assault Centre in Halifax offers therapeutic counselling, a sexual assault nurse examiner program (SANE), as well as education and training.
The Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project
The Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project uses public outreach, education, and political action to provide a voice for the LGBTQ+ community of Nova Scotia and seek equality, justice, and human rights.
South House Sexual & Gender Resource Centre
South House is Halifax’s full time gender justice centre. They offer a trans* and queer-positive space with wheelchair accessibility that is volunteer driven, gender-inclusive, and open to all members of the community.
Venus Envy
Halifax’s award-winning sex shop and bookstore! They have something for everyone! Venus Envy is an inclusive, informative, and shame-free place where you can find quality products and information.
The Youth Project
The Youth Project has been supporting LGBTQ+ youth in Nova Scotia since 1993. Located on Brunswick Street in Halifax they offer support, resources, education, events, camps, and more.
